Comfortable room, efficient staff, with a great outdoor dining area where I enjoyed a delicious breakfast while taking in the fresh air right at the hotel, complemented by the reliable 24-hour reception which added to the convenience of my stay.

The two rooms we booked only had two single beds in each. That is real Art Deco I suppose but certainly would have gone elsewhere if we had known this before booking.

Marvellous location - so close to a bronze statue. Impeccable service, great affordable breakfast with jam, outrageous rate plus croissants.

The Superior King Room had great decor, but the shower was way too small.

Convenience, being able to have the windows open to enjoy the beautiful fresh sea air. A lovely spacious room and affordable as we were in Hawkes Bay for a wedding.

charming, charming, charming
I just loved the Superior King Room, which beautifully blended modern comfort with classic Art Deco design. The staff were pretty good, especially the team at the Globe Restaurant, who served a good breakfast even with limited resources. The vibrant atmosphere of the hotel, from the stylish decor to the friendly ambiance.
would recommend 😊❤️

Really quirky hotel which we really liked and was what we expected given the period style. Good breakfast.

I travel the north island on a 2 monthly cycle and look for comfortable, non air conditoned accommodation, preferably in the centre of town. Your hotel meets these requirements with the added benefit of 3 restaurants/bars on the premises.
The only fault (which is quite common through out motels) if you can call it that was the fridge in my room (152) was rather noisy. This will not prevent me from staying again however as i really did enjoy my stay.

Put this on your radar
This gem boasts a prime waterfront position, with fine views of the South Pacific. Enjoy comfy rooms and a cozy atmosphere. The friendly staff, especially at the Irish pub and the nearby bistro, elevate your experience. Nearby attractions make it perfect for leisurely outings. A good stay you won't forget!

The price was very good, the location was excellent, there was a bit of olde world charm about it. I would definitely return to this hotel if I visited Napier again.
There was no parking for the hotel and the metres close by were usually taken up.

I really enjoyed my stay in a freshly renovated room with two bathrooms, which made getting ready super easy! The ocean-view arcade on the first floor was a blast, and it was so nice to relax with a good book in the cozy lounge area. Just a heads-up, the parking was a bit of a hike, so try to pack light! 😊

The efforts being made to redecorate it in its original style were excellent.

The building impressed on first sight. This was followed up by friendly, efficient and helpful staff. Both of the rooms we stayed in were of well above average standard, and the modernised one was a pleasure to be in. :The location was central which also helped our stay be a memorable one.
